You might be thinking we are "just another Greek website," but we hope you will come to view us as much more. Greek World.com is gearing up to become a complete online resource portal dedicated to all things Greek and/or of Greece, etc. Our database is filled with thousands of links to information sites, as well as our own internal information.
As a technology professional, I have worked in the computer industry for nearly 25 years. As a person of Greek decent, I found myself looking for a really good online resources relating to Greek interests... Greek history, art, literature, etc. But, much to my surprise, I never really found exactly what I was looking for. Therefore, I decided it was time to build it myself. (No easy task!) As a result, Greek World was born.
Greece, and/or "to be Greek," isn't just a nationality, isn't just a culture...it's a state of mind! Some might even call it an obsession or a "rite of passage!" Obviously, you don't have to be Greek to love the essence of it all (or to use this website). People from all around the world have embraced this warm, intelligent and fun culture and we welcome the entire globe to come and view its contents.
Our slogan is that we offer "Everything Greek from Apollo to Zeus," at least that is our goal and our mission. Our objective is to offer information for everyone to enjoy and to gain value from. Like all resource sites, Greek World will always remain a work-in-progress, as we continue to grow by adding new links to exciting new content. Currently, our database offers links on a wide variety of topics, including Greek art, history, education, literature, mythology, geography, travel, food, traditions, language, philosophy, Greek business directory, and much more.
As we are a U.S. based company, we have first launched Greek World U.S. We will be launching the Greek World, Greece site as soon as possible, as well as a wide variety of global presence sites in multiple languages.
